Twister: Ride It Out was a special effects attraction located in the New York section of Universal Studios Florida. The attraction, based on the 1996 film Twister, was announced in 1997 and replaced the Ghostbusters Spooktacular attraction. The attraction was hosted by Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt, who starred in the original film. The attraction closed on November 2nd, 2015, and was replaced with Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon, which opened on April 6th, 2017. In this video, we take a look at the 17-year history of the attraction, which brought guests face to face with a tornado.
