We usually don't want spiders in the house, but what if I told you there was one terrifying looking spider that you absolutely did? The spitting spider hunts many of the venomous species that can be medically significant to humans, and is totally harmless itself. And it uses a completely unique hunting strategy among arachnids, making it one of the weirdest spiders in the world!

My name is Spencer Hoffman. I’m a biologist and filmmaker from North Carolina and my goal is to find the most extreme life forms in the world—from the strangest, to the deadliest— and capture the stories of how their insane lifestyles help them to survive on our Weird Planet.
