A Raw, Dramatic Performance of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" (1843). This recording was made in one take, with absolutely no editing whatsoever, requiring a skill that I have long been enjoying working on through livestreaming and for my more "natural" audiobooks.
As you may know, editing is generally a major part of making audiobooks. In fact it is essential with very large and complex pieces in order to correct errors, improve tempo, connect recordings, and much more. Likewise, through preference, I often like to mix-in music and even some sound effects, to set a mood or add flavour.
Here however, I have opted to share my attempt at delivering these words as if on stage, or simpler still, as if these words were my own. You therefore are the select audience, here within the very room, alone, as witness.
