Join me as I tackle the woodworking project I've been dreaming of for years - building my first dining table! When I discovered this beautiful reclaimed redwood salvaged from a field, I knew it was time to push beyond my comfort zone of small projects.
Despite redwood being notoriously soft and perhaps 'too nice' for a family with young kids, this build was all about challenging myself. Watch as I cut my very first castle joints and struggle through what should have been a simple finishing process. What started as a skill-building exercise ended with a piece so beautiful my wife insisted we keep it!
