MFF : The longest existing rock band in the world is
Golden Earring. They kept the same line-up since 1970. The band is the longest existing rock band in the world, as they were founded in 1961, one year before the Rolling Stones.
THE SYMPHONETTE SOCIETY ORCHESTRA
Longines Symphonette Society was a subsidiary formed by the Longines Watch Company after its purchase of Capitol Records Direct Marketing Corporation in 1968. For the next 7 years, the company served as manufacturer and distributor for Capitol's Record Club as well as an imprint specializing in the easy listening music heard on the MBS and CBS radio programs conducted by Macklin Marrow and Michel Piastro from 1943 to 1957. In addition to releasing Various Artist collections and radio material, the label's catalog included recordings by The Longines Symphonette Society Orchestra and Chorus and The Longines Strings; later franchising recordings to many 'uncredited' European and American 'acts' that now appear as 'modern re-issues' under the "Symphonette Society" moniker. Prior to it's closure and sale to WEA in 1975, the label launched other specialty imprints under, Stereo Dimension Records including Evolution, Athena, and Roadshow.

In a 2007 interview, Neil Diamond revealed that the inspiration for his song was John F. Kennedy's daughter Caroline, who was eleven years old at the time. Diamond sang the song to her at her 50th birthday celebration in 2007.
On the CBS Early Show, Diamond said that a magazine cover photo of Caroline Kennedy as a young child on a horse with her parents in the background created an image in his mind, and the rest of the song came together about five years after seeing the picture in question.

There was a certain period at the end of the 1960s and early seventies when Hawaiian music knew a kind of "revival".
The typical Hawaiian sounds were added not only to specific Hawaiian chants and songs, but also to regular popsongs and evergreens, especially when performed instrumentally.
Here the Symphonette Society Orchestra brings us Neil Diamond's "'Sweet Caroline" (which inspired us to rename the presentation "Sweet Paradise" ;-) and though it may take a while to "get used" to the Hawaiian style version, it must be said that arranger-conductor Michel Piastro succeeded in bringing two musical styles together and thus creating a quite original and, in a way, fresh sound. .... Take it away Maestro !
