The chase was filmed over three days. Because of a budget issue I was only allowed to use two cars for the chase even though one is destroyed early on and the other, being a rental, could not be damaged at all. Interesting dilemma --

Our stunt coordinator saw a second hand go-kart for sale in a local Thai newspaper and said "what if?" We got the go ahead to purchase the go-kart and I treated the chase as if it was two cars and not play off the comedic aspect. I knew that would be the audience's first reaction to seeing the go-kart, but then the drama would take over.

Richard Norton did all his own driving, pretty hard to fake that. The only shot he didn't drive was the reverse shot, that was performed by the coordinator and was filmed without permissions or street closures. All care was taken to avoid cars and pedestrians with an order to abort at any time they deemed it not safe.

A 4K re-release is planned for 2024
