Video July 9, 2021. This was a fun video to do up close right behind the yellow line so people didn’t walk in front of the camcorder. (oh wait they did at the end. nice) It’s as close as you can get to being a Swell Tone without being a Swell Tone and that’s pretty swell. It was interesting shooting a performance at eye level that wasn’t on a stage with feedback monitors or with an audience in front of the camera. Great sunlight. I shot a lot of outdoor shows that day. I shot this relatively straight-on as opposed to the Blue Cast video off-center youtu.be/AX2phmG3XxI
Fun energetic performance. Very high level singing and dancing abilities in both casts. High-quality production and costume design that we’ve come to expect from Cedar Point Live E!
This is the first season they’ve had four dancers compliment the singers/dancers since they’re in the parade and 150 Spectacular show (link below). So the performance area is directly in front of Coasters Diner and the show’s more dynamic than previous seasons. Millennium Force, Rougarou and Corkscrew roller coasters and Power Tower are in the background.
YouTube compresses video. The actual video is more detailed and the candy stripe costumes don’t shimmer. This still looks very good. I wish I would have remembered my camcorder shoots 60P HD. I didn’t until towards the end of the season. This was one of my favorite shows. I shot Pink cast in 60P from more of a side angle you can see on this channel.
