The top meter of this tailings pond was tested for copper and zinc and the surface volume and specific gravity was used to calculate the base metal value in the top meter of the tailings pond. The tailings pond is now dry a has drained over the years.

Previous assays show gold, silver, copper and zinc values. This video focuses on base metal value of the tailings pond. The pond is from historic past producers which produced high grade gold and silver along with copper, zinc and lead. There were two types of ore copper, silver and gold bearing quartz and gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc bearing barite ore. The pond is estimated to hold up to 150,000 tonnes but has been emptied and may contain less. The tailings pond has an estimated depth of 7m-12m deep.
