The Surf Line has provided transportation between two of southern California's preeminent metropolises, Los Angeles and San Diego since 1888. Although not as legendary as the rest of the Santa Fe Railway's transcontinental network, the life that has been led by this pike is becoming the envy of the rest of the country.
