Much more than just a horror movie: a real psychological experiment where the fear is 100% genuine.
In the tense found-footage film "The Supernatural", directed by the bold Jack Lucas, a group of friends decides to spend the night in and around a creepy house rumored by local legends to be haunted by spirits. Armed only with their smartphones, they decide to document every single moment of their macabre exploration, but their adventure soon turns into a nightmare with no escape.
Following in the footsteps of the famous The Blair Witch Project, this film marks a return to cinematic Neorealism, but pushed to the extreme. The unique feature of this work is that the protagonists (including web stars Giuseppe Ninno "Mandrake" and Andrea Giovanni Demilito "Pirata") were completely unaware they were on a movie set! Until the very last minutes, they believed they were experiencing a real-life situation, providing reactions of pure terror in the face of what appear to be authentic paranormal phenomena that occurred during the night shoot.
Enriched by the special participation of Luca Secci, The Supernatural is a fascinating and disturbing documentary on human suggestion, its devastating effects, and the invisible boundary that separates us from the supernatural.
