'Pretty People' by 'The Sunday Reeds' is the first single to be released from the band's forthcoming album.
The single was released on 12th October 2015 through the band's own label 'Heartgun Records'. The single was written by lead singer/songwriter 'Romana Ashton', produced by the band and mixed by 'James Aparicio' (engineer for 'Spiritualized', 'Mute Records').
The video was directed by 'Romana Ashton' and edited by 'Rex Francis'.

THE SUNDAY REEDS BIO:
Hailing from 'Melbourne' in Australia 'The Sunday Reeds' take their cue from nocturnal, reverb-kissed noise pop and shoegaze acts of the late '80s and early '90s, particularly groups like 'Black Tambourine', 'The Gun Club' and 'The Jesus and Mary Chain'.
The band's current line-up consists of:
● Romana Ashton - Bass, Vocals
● Drew Jones - Guitar
● John Birrell - Drums
In 2008 'Romana Ashton' and 'Drew Jones' formed 'The Sunday Reeds' naming themselves after the well-known Australian patron of the arts 'Sunday Reed'.
In 2009 Romana and Drew recruited their first drummer 'Andy Dawson' who joined the group to round out its live sound. The same year 'The Sunday Reeds' debut album 'Drowning in History', was released on 'Squirrel Records (UK)' to rave reviews both in Australia and internationally. 'Drowning In History' was listed as No. 4 in '4ZZZ' Brisbane's Release of the Month April 2009 and received frequent airplay.
Following the release of the album, the band embarked on a tour across Australia. Then in 2010 'The Sunday Reeds' toured Europe and the UK, playing London, Leeds and Brighton where their strong following saw them play to packed houses, including a gig with UK act 'Still Corners', which was listed as NME's 'Gig of the Week' September 7th to 12th 2010.
2011 saw 'The Sunday Reeds' continue to make the darkest, richest noise-pop around by releasing their first EP 'Dark Rainbows' again through 'Squirrel Records (UK)'. The EP was also produced by legendary Kramer (whose credits include albums by 'Daniel Johnston' and 'Galaxie 500'). 'Dark Rainbows' also includes one of MLUTV's favourite songs of all time, the truly stunning track 'Stem Filled Vase'. You can watch the video on #MLUTV via the following link:

During this time bridges were burned, relationships ended and nervous breakdowns became commonplace. At one point the founding duo spent three days in Paris where the most romantic city in the world became an ironic backdrop for a particularly bitter relationship break up, one that would culminate in the release of their EP ‘Amour Tragique’ of which when translated means 'Tragic Love'!
