What is the Summer Solstice? Today is the day the Earth tips it's farthest point towards the Sun, In the North half of the planet. That makes today the longest day of the year as far as daylight go's for all of us in the Northern Hemisphere. Lots of chores to get done today! December 21st will be the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year......it's all downhill from here Folks!
