Dr. Shivi Drori is a world renowned wine researcher specializing in rediscovering the ancient wines and grapes of Israel. He speaks with Eve Harow at his Gva’ot Winery in the town of Givat Harel, part of the Shiloh Bloc of communities and within sight of where the Mishkan stood over 3000 years ago. Like the people, the indigenous grapes - bittuni, marawi, Jandali - struggled to survive but are now back, sweet and strong, nuanced and unique, mature yet trendy. Let’s drink to that. L’chaim!
