Okay so I'm SO in love with this. Seriously Elena is one of my favourite characters in any show, I just love her development and I have no idea why people started to hate her. All this change business I don't know, I don't see it, all I see is a beautiful journey to the strong person that she become, she learnt how to adapt, to bend her rigid beliefs to fit the crazy world and I think she grew so much because of that. Personally I actually prefer her growth in season 3 and 4 the best, especially season 4. And no it's not because I'm a delena fan, but gosh just the way she loses herself and then comes back stronger in season 4, I love that storyline. I'm rambling because i'm rather protective of Elena haha so please do not put any Elena hate on this video or delena/stelena hate!! I will not be happy otherwise, don't make me sad please!
Hope you guys like this though because like i've said too may times now haha i'm very proud of it. So happy to have done this with Alex!! :D

Okay so firstly, I just wanted to ask you if possible, not to dislike this video, because its incredibly personal and Id just appreciate it if you didnt :)
Right so this was made for The Oscar Vidding Contest Round 2 where the theme was Biography, and so you had to vid something about yourself. Im kind of nervous about uploading this, but it took me ages because it wasnt easy for me and I really dont want to drop out of this contest so here I am uploading it haha.
FOR JUDGES IF YOU NEED AN EXPLANATION :)
I dont know if I need to explain here about everything, but I might as well. I know this song has a positive vibe and I still edited about slightly depressing things, so it kind of sounds weird at points haha, but I didnt want to use a sad song, I wanted something to represent moving forward :)
So anyway last year, my dad was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer but by the time they diagnosed it, it was too late because it had already spread to his liver so there was nothing they could do. Honestly, my dad dying completely destroyed me; Ive spent all year picking myself up because, although I dont think many people in my life knew or realised, I found it extremely, extremely difficult to keep going. I used to have panic attacks about anything and everything after it happened, I became paranoid, insecure, and that was never who I was. I didnt used to care about what people thought of me, I was very comfortable in who I was and so to suddenly panic about going out and feeling judged really scared me. So I tried to include voiceovers in this to show that, with Dawsons quote about loss of control and then Damons about I cant be what other people want me to be and things :D I hope it shows it well, I didnt go much into it because I did not want to dig up those memories and emotions again!! I just watched two older videos of mine (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eS2A5aPfJps and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zfp2NqdLHX4) to steal scenes from, as I made those during that time.
Luckily, though I am now much much better, more like my old self than I have been in a year so yay for that and so I tried to concentrate on everything else that makes me who I am around the emotions of losing my dad since that does kind of shape everything these days. I wanted to include more about my mum, but I could not for the life of me find any quotes that would work, but I put some mother/child hugs in because I couldnt just not include her, my mum is like my best friend :) Then theres the dogs bit, which is my favourite bit of the whole video because I included a few actual clips of my dogs, the border collie and the rough collie are mine :D My dogs are everything to me so they had to be put in. Then theres music which has always been a huge part of my life, I love music so much, playing it, listening to it, anything to do with it saves me. I stuck with the instruments I play, so piano, flue and guitar :D Writing is more recent for me, I started last year to help myself and so I dont write often but occasionally I will to calm myself and make sense of things. Though reading back on ones I used to write back when I was a mess is kind of scary, I dont like knowing how lost I was! But yeah I still wanted to include it, then well I can never find anything to represent film making and editing but I put some clips in because YouTube and editing is huge for me, its what I want to do with my life if possible :D I ended with the final quote, because I heard it when I was watching Sleepless in Seattle with my mum one time and I think its beautiful and so real and represents everything I try so hard to do these days; just to get up and keep trying until I no longer have to remind myself to :)
Haha woah that was long, I shouldnt start writing, I never stop haha. I know the editing side of this is horrific, gosh I cannot vid to save my life these days, but I still spent a while hunting down scenes and voiceovers for this so I hope its enough to get me to the next round :D
Ive been thinking about doing a You Pick I Vid video to try and get myself back into vidding again, since theres so many videos Ive been wishing to make but cant because of lack of inspiration, and I thought it might help me get my inspiration back and therefore finish everything. Well see!
Anyway, I know this video is depressing in parts, but I am not like that as much anymore, its just important because it shaped the person I have become in this last year and well I told myself if I was going to make something about myself, it might as well be the whole truth :) Hopefully its not too awful though!!

Hey!
Its the last day of September so I thought I should probably get my Faceless Challenge video uploaded finally haha the new challenge will be uploaded tomorrow after all! This is very short, and it was VERY hard for me. I just clearly like using faces in my videos haha but I tried my best. Ive always wanted to vid this song and the piano version seemed like something a little different so I went for it.
Sorry its nothing special, just a little short video for this challenge. It was fun to see the outcome and I think its true you can show so much emotion without faces, but its just so hard haha!

Hey!
Long time no see. I say that a lot because I tend to disappear often haha oops. Sorry about that! Finally managed to finish something new though and this one is special because its my YPIV that I hosted on ViddersUnited back in June. Im so grateful to everyone who pledged a part in this, I am so sorry I am late but I hope you all dont mind! I also really hope you like how it turned out, I spent SO many hours on it haha. Its also my first multicouples video in a very long time, which is odd for me but its been a struggle in the last year.
Anyway I wont ramble forever because Ive just finished work and its almost midnight and ive been staring at a computer screen for the last 12 hours, but I really hope you like this and I hope I did all the couples justice.
