On December 14, 2012, Dr. Richard Kamin responded to one of the most horrific mass shootings in American history—the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. As a member of the technical committee for NFPA 3000™ (PS), Standard for an Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response (ASHER) Program, Kamin's experience helped shape the groundbreaking provisional standard.
