Happy #NationalAnthemDay! Our national anthem, "The Star-Spangled Banner" was written by Francis Scott Key in September, 1814.

While many patriotic songs held honorary titles, the United States didn’t have an officially declared anthem until a congressional resolution, signed by President Herbert Hoover, declared "The Star Spangled Banner" our national anthem of the United States of America on March 3rd, 1931.
