Soul Blazer by Quintet is the first in a loose trilogy of games known colloquially as "Heaven and Earth" or "Gaia". It's an action RPG in which you, as a representative of the divine Master, must rescue all living things from a dreadful curse inflicted by the demonic Deathtoll. It's one of the most interesting treatments of religious and spiritual themes in a video game -- and just simply an excellent game, too.
