Fear can be powerful and controlling, but the Spirit works differently. The Spirit doesn’t move us forward by fear; we don’t get in step with God’s mission by letting fear drive us. Instead, the Spirit gives us agency, a steadiness for the long haul. What does it look like to name and wrestle with our fears as we try to sustain in the Spirit together? How might fear be shaping the choices you make? Where might God be wanting to release you from the way fear controls you, and from the temptation to isolate or try to use someone else as a scapegoat?
