Sonic the Hedgehog Supreme Arcade1Up recall rumors started when a Costco reportedly told a customer the cabinet had been recalled and then Arcade1Up came out and said there is no recall.
In this one I break down where the recall claim actually came from and what Arcade1Up has publicly said. Then we get into the good part: Team Encoder has released a mod for the Sonic Supreme that takes this cabinet well past what it shipped with, and honestly it makes the whole recall conversation more interesting. If you already own one, or you are about to pull the trigger at Costco, this is the update you want before you spend the money.
To be clear up front, nothing here is a confirmed safety recall. This is a report from a store, a denial from the manufacturer, and my opinion about the gap in between.
