I recently repaired and overclocked a $49 "for parts" Intel Pentium Overdrive 63MHz processor from eBay, the place where I buy the things I later regret™. And I seem to have tamed the Shuttle HOTMESS-419... er, the Shuttle HOT-419 motherboard (though it still has its quirks and features). Paired with a Trident TGUI9440 VESA Local Bus video card, it's a formidable DOOM-playing vintage computer.
But what good is a build without a case? None. And when am I going to finish the sleeper 486 system? Tonight! That is, if Windows cooperates...
On Tuesday, I tried to install Windows 98 SE three times, and each attempt ended in failure. I have a list of items to try in order to narrow down the issue. Let's see how many I go through before discovering the issue.
Will I manage to determine why Windows 98 SE would not install? Will I have time to assemble the computer? Will I find all the case parts after being disassembled for over a year? You'll have to watch to find out!

Adam sent me an Apple ][+ that needs repairs, and COMPUTER is suffering from bad 74LS-series chips. Can I fix both computers using eBay (the place where I buy things I later regret)? Maybe. But the more important question is, Will there be regrets along the way?
Will COMPUTER say COMPUTER again? Will the Apple ][+ say APPLE ][ again? Will all the parts even arrive in time for this stream? Youll have to watch to find out!
