The Sinking City 2 is an upcoming survival horror game developed by Frogwares and inspired by the works of horror fiction author H. P. Lovecraft. The game is a sequel to The Sinking City (2019) and the story is set in the city of Arkham during the 1920s.
The Sinking City 2 is set to be released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S in August 18, 2026.
The Sinking City 2 is a semi-open world survival horror game with a focus on combat and exploration and increasing flood waters that will alter locations as the game progresses.[2] The game will feature an inventory system and allow the player to collect resources as well as being able to use firearms as well as melee weapons against enemies.[3] The game also features an optional investigation system that will give benefits to players and allow them to solve puzzles that will allow for alternate options, reveal lore and unlock secrets.
The Sinking City 2 takes place in the city of Arkham in the 1920s that has been impacted by a supernatural flood.[5] The game is set to have a standalone story from the previous game.
The game was announced at the Xbox Partner Preview showcase by Microsoft Gaming in March 2024.[6] A Kickstarter campaign launched on March 6, 2025 to help fund the game and additional features to it.[7] CEO Wael Amr explained: From power cuts as our electrical infrastructure was targeted for months to the need for team members to relocate at very short notice, this financial safety net proved invaluable to us. So, we need to do the same now with The Sinking City 2 as this game is vastly bigger and more complex.[8][7] In February 2025, the studio announced the registration for the playtest.[9] The Sinking City 2 is set to be released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on August 18, 2026 The Sinking City 2 Safe Room Ambience](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/96TU8HwJcFM/mqdefault.jpg)

007 First Light is an upcoming action-adventure video game developed and published by IO Interactive. Based on the James Bond franchise, it will tell an original narrative inspired by the novels and short stories by Ian Fleming, and the film series starring the character. The game will depict James Bonds origin story, as he embarks on the mission he must complete to earn his licence to kill.
Following the release of 007 Legends (2012), publisher Activision had its non-exclusive licence to produce James Bond video games revoked, resulting in an extended hiatus for video games adapting the franchise. IO Interactive announced the development of a new James Bond game in November 2020. The game entered full production at IO Interactive following the completion of Hitman 3 (2021), and was fully revealed in June 2025.
007 First Light is scheduled to be released for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S[1] on 27 May 2026.[2] A Nintendo Switch 2 version is scheduled to release later in the year.
Hitman 3[b] is a 2021 stealth game developed and published by IO Interactive. It is the eighth main installment in the Hitman video game series, the sequel to 2018s Hitman 2, and the third game in the World of Assassination trilogy. Concluding the story arc started in 2016s Hitman, the game follows genetically engineered assassin Agent 47 and his allies as they hunt down the leaders of the secretive organization Providence, which controls global affairs and was partially responsible for 47s creation and upbringing. Like its two predecessors, the game is structured around six levels, five of which are large sandbox locations that players can freely explore to find opportunities to eliminate their targets.
The base game features six locations: Dubai, Dartmoor, Berlin, Chongqing, Mendoza, and the Carpathian Mountains in Romania. A post-launch update introduced a new fictional island location set in the Andaman Sea. IO Interactive wanted the game to be more story-driven. As a result, Hitman 3 has a more mature and serious tone. The team was more willing to experiment with its mission design, shaking up the existing gameplay loop and realizing ideas that they had been unable or afraid to implement in the past, such as framing assassination opportunities within a murder-mystery in the Dartmoor level. While gameplay is largely similar to its predecessor, developers were inspired by immersive sim games, adding many elements from the genre such as an emphasis on engaging with the world for intel, branching level stories with multiple possible outcomes, and prevalent opportunities to make use of the environments emergent gameplay.
Hitman 3, the first game to be self-published by IO Interactive after becoming an independent studio, was first released worldwide for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia, and Nintendo Switch (via cloud gaming) in January 2021. It received positive reviews, with praise for its level design and atmosphere, stealth mechanics, and 47s abilities. Some critics called it the best entry in the series; the game has been called one of the greatest stealth games of all time. Hitman 3 was the series most commercially successful title, and has been extensively supported by IO with several releases of downloadable content and free updates. In January 2023, IO rebranded Hitman 3 as Hitman: World of Assassination, shifting the game into a live-service format with the contents of the previous two Hitman games becoming available to Hitman 3 owners for free. Hitman 3 VR: Reloaded, a standalone edition of the games VR mode, was released for Meta Quest 3 by XR Games in September 2024. 007 First Light Preview Impressions](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Azf2uRJwHJk/mqdefault.jpg)
