If your Sim has a cat, they'll eventually get mice in their house. Cats can hunt by themselves or they can be commanded to hunt (only available with mice). Unfortunately, only cats can hunt since dogs don't have Hunting skill (boohoo!). They can not only hunt mice, but also cockroaches, bunnies and gophers.
