Where do I start with this? We could not join this event as a family, everyone had to RESTART and go in solo ......with randoms. 🤷🏽♀️
This entire clip is from when I restarted my Fortnite game (which took about a minute for each of us to load back into game) the video wont show that or pick up that part, thats a PS5 thing. But the video is just under 14 minutes and I would say what....the event itself was literally a few minutes of us being able to control our character then for them to go into a story mode / mini cartoon episode. Then 5 hours of down time. For what reason really? So everyone can go play their arch nemesis games on Roblox?
The way this event played out this should have been to each is own, can load up and join anytime over several hours. The update for the Simpsons map was prior to the event even happening. So again, this felt like an unnecessary in person meeting when this could have easily been an email. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
NOW several hours later, myself along with many others cant even log in or get the game to load. My game keeps giving me back to back wait times under 9 min but fails at the end of each. I have tried twice now a couple hours apart and just gave up.
While I absolutely appreciate the thought that has gone into this this entire event and aftermath feels like a huge fail. As a Fortnite Creator- I create games, theyre lame or dont work - they dont get promoted and no one plays them. I have to always be on top of whatever it is that I create and make sure the devices work properly before I just release a game to the world. I mean obviously you can create crap and publish a map, but im referring to the fact that I'm at the very bottom hoping all the devices work and that Epic doesn't change them or remove them cause if that happens there goes my whole game. Quite depressing actually.
In any case, I'm apart of the Fortnite crew so I really do hope I get to play and explore this game soon. I look forward to the Simpsons lego builds and ESPECIALLY that 🍌 Banana dog 🐕
