The Simpsons debuted on tv with their Christmas episode, a happy accident that would end up making the Simpsons one of the longest running and most well known shows on tv. Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire was the introduction the show needed as it included so much of what we know and love about Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart, and Maggie.
