Disney's Little Mermaid--The Shocking Reason Ariel’s Mom Was FRIENDS With Ursula
A lot of you might not know this, but, according to some versions of their story, Ariel’s mom, Queen Athena, was actually really close friends with Ursula.. In fact, Queen Athena was arguably the only reason that Ursula was even allowed to step foot in Atlantica in the first place. Disney left out a lot about Ursula and Queen Athena’s backstory, but thankfully, The Little Mermaid was such a popular franchise that authors, writers, and even fans have all helped to fill in the missing pieces. Get ready, because the real reason that Ariel’s Mom was friends with Ursula might shock you harder than Flotsam and Jetsam!
