This year, Darbar embraces the Shock of the New — that electric jolt you feel when you step into the unfamiliar. A new city. An unrecognisable dish. A sound you've never heard before. It's one of the most human feelings there is.
Now in its 21st edition, this five-day celebration of Indian classical music brings together leading artists, late-night performances, and a full programme of talks and participatory events. Alongside the masters who shaped this tradition, we're taking a bold step: platforming extraordinary artists who are, for many, entirely unknown — because they deserve to be heard.
