The Shivvers formed in Milwaukee from the ashes of a band called In A Hot Coma, a group that included Jill Kossoris, Richard LaValliere, Gerard LaValliere, Guy Hoffman and Jerome Brish. When Jill decided she wanted to venture off and lead her own band, In A Hot Coma became The Haskels. Jill went on to find new members for her band. With Jim Richardson, Mike Pyle, Rich Bush, and Jim Eannelli on board, The Shivvers were born. They recorded their highly regarded power pop masterpiece, "'Teen Line," very early on while the song was still being developed. Two pressings of the record were made and they sold very quickly as they established themselves as one of the hottest bands in the Midwest. Unfortunately a record deal never came their way so The Shivvers eventually called it quits.
