Venturing outside of your reading comfort zone can be rewarding…or not. The Shadow of the Gods and The Bloodsworn Trilogy have been described as an action packed, grim dark, high fantasy inspired by Norse Mythology. It’s garnered plenty of praise in the fantasy side of booktube and bookstagram so I was eager to see if I’d enjoy it as well. Here I explain my thoughts on the book, what I liked and what I didn’t.
