While watching the featurette on the recent Shout Factory blu-ray of 1994's "The Shadow", it was mentioned that they originally wanted to film the movie in black and white to go with the 1930s style world that the movie takes place in. Being a fan of 1930s films, I decided to do a quick sample to see how the film would fare in that environment. I applied various filters, not just black and white, but added some grain, gave the image a more soft look, adjusted the contrast, etc... I think the results were pretty interesting. This scene involves Lamont's first meeting with Margo at the night club.
