For the number 7 in the #clockreadingchallenge of 2024, we have “The Seven Year Slip” from Ashley Poston, which is one of the #romancebooks from Jennifer Brooks' 24 books to read in 2024. I picked this #novel from her list because of its number in the title, because it's a romance for the month of February, and because Jennifer's description of the time-slipping apartment appealed to the #speculativefiction #reader in me greatly.
You guys, I don't know if it was the sadness of knowing Jennifer didn't get to read it alongside me, if it was the tone of the story, if it was the loss of Aunt Analea, or what, but a few spots in this book nailed me in the feels and the discussion questions sent me over the edge. And that came through in the video. I'm sorry for losing it on camera. But here we are. I don't think I could figure out how to edit in this free program without totally screwing this up.
