Episode Notes:
1. Captured on the Mega SG. Tested with emulation (Kega Fusion).
2. There are more Sega Channel specific releases than I covered here. Look through what's available here:
gamehistory.org/segachannel
3. Mortal Kombat 3 and Sonic 3D Blast also had to be chopped into chunks to be used on the Sega Channel.
4. By the end of its run, The Sega Channel cost $20 a month in the US.
5. The first time I saw The Sega Channel was through a coworker who had it for his kids. I didn't get to sit and play it long, but I thought it was pretty awesome.
6. Eventually, parental controls were added to The Sega Channel to block M rated content.
7. Sega was fully prepared to start serious R&D for the Saturn version of the Sega Channel, but it was clear by 1997 that it wasn't worth it.
8. The Sega Channel was prominently advertised across magazines and TV ads. Sega even sent out VHS tapes to promote the service.
