If you want to land the knockout strikes you like, you’ve got to know how to set people up, not just throw random combos and hope for the best.
In this video, I, Bas Rutten, show how to use a bag drill to set up a striking combination that works perfectly in @KarateCombat.
It starts with a smart elbow to raise the opponent’s guard, and when the hands come up, you repeat the same motion while looking him directly in the eyes, but this time you go straight to the body with a roundhouse knee, using only the kneecap for deep, penetrating impact.
This is all about creating openings and being ready when the moment presents itself. Practice it a lot, and when it’s there, don’t miss it.
💥 How to set up striking combos
💥 Elbow to raise the guard
💥 Roundhouse knee with the kneecap
💥 Perfect for Karate Combat and close-range fighting
💥 Bag work tips for real fight scenarios
