The SECRET 🤫 Below Your Feet At Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World #shorts
Did You Know below Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park guests feet, there are secret tunnels called the Utilidors,
a 3.6-hectare, nine-acre, circular network designed to provide out-of-sight access to various parts of the park for cast members.
These tunnels were part of Walt Disney’s plan from the beginning because he didn’t like cast members having to walk through different areas out of costume.
The tunnels are not visible to the general public and they are not a basement, contrary to popular belief.
Because of an elevated water table, most of these tunnels were actually built at ground level, and the Magic Kingdom was built above that.
All the guests of the park see streets that are elevated by one story. Parts of Fantasyland, including the Cinderella Castle, are at a third-story level.
The ground's incline is so gradual that guests tend not to realize they are ascending to the second and third stories
You can see the tunnels if you take the, Keys to the kingdom tour, a five-hour guided tour that’s open to all guests over the age of 16, as not to ruin the magic for children.
