All over Germany, volunteers are quietly doing what they can to ensure that we never forget our past. I was invited to join one of them on two consecutive weekends, and learned a lot about menhirs, royal weddings, and shell cases used as postcards.

Chapters:
00:00 Posing the question
00:47 A mysterious standing stone
01:40 Dead counts
02:13 Headquarters
02:58 The bureau
03:53 Connecting with the world
04:30 Macabre souvenirs
05:06 Learning from history
05:43 The schloss and its hidden church
06:44 The mill and the smithy
07:25 All the work of volunteers

Thanks to the Heritage and Historical Society of Mömbris and the Historical Society of Meerholz and Hailer.
