The red cubes that are ubiquitous in other early child development films originate with Arnold Gesell, a prominent early psychologist and pediatrician (baby scientist).

This high quality color film presents the concepts developed by Dr. Gesell who also serves as narrator. It shows that behavior follows characteristic patterns. Eye-hand coordination especially is discussed at length.

Several segments have been cropped for baby modesty (and uploading guidelines). This film was produced by the US Navy, Department of Naval Research oddly enough.
