Following the success of their 2025 album No Time for Poetry, The Saxophones return with the new Easy Listening Edition versions - noir-jazz instrumental reinterpretations of the original record.

'Mind Wander (Easy Listening Edition)' is the second single from the release. On it, Alexi Erenkov shared:

“Being inundated with the constant noises of raising two children has changed my listening habits. Over the past eight years, I have been drawn to slower, more ambient instrumental music; songwriters I once loved now feel overwhelming. With No Time for Poetry (Easy Listening Edition), I wanted to create an album tailored to auditorially fatigued listeners just like me. To do so, I replaced every vocal line with a woodwind melody.

The original No Time for Poetry was a subtly provocative, satirical, and politically themed record. In this "easy listening" version, I stripped away the linguistic elements and placed saxophone, bass clarinet, and alto flute in their stead. The result is a sensual, peaceful, and less cerebral record that provides a unique alternative listening experience. I hope it provides respite to all who listen.”
