The petty kings, once humbled beneath his sword, rose again, each declaring themselves rulers of their own fragmented realms.
Fairhair’s descendants, bound by blood yet torn apart by ambition, waged relentless wars for the throne, plunging the land into chaos. Amid this turmoil, a giant known as Haakon the Poweful, said to be a descendant of the legendary Ivar the Boneless, seized control of the country. Yet even he was but a vassal to the Danish King, signaling the end of Norway's independence. The mighty house of Fairhair became a distant memory, its legacy fractured as its descendants scattered across the land, content to rule over mere scraps of what once was a mighty kingdom.

Olaf Haraldsson, the great-great-grandson of Fairhair, would embark on a journey that would carve his name into history—not just as a king, but as a saint.
