....bestehend aus den Kernmitgliedern Paul Kuhs, Marc Schleser sowie ihrem Live-Drummer Hendrik Strehl, haben sich seit ihrer Gründung im Jahr 2011 als feste Größe im Synthpop-Genre etabliert. Mit einer beeindruckenden Diskografie, die bisher vier Alben und zwei EPs umfasst, hat die Band aus dem Ruhrgebiet ihren Platz in der Musikszene gefestigt.
Die musikalische Verbindung zwischen Marc und Paul, die sich bereits vor 2011 gekreuzt hatte, erwies sich als fruchtbarer Boden für die Entstehung eines faszinierenden Sounds. Ihre Zusammenarbeit vereint verschiedene musikalische Schwerpunkte zu einer neuen, erkennbaren musikalischen Einheit. The Saint Paul kreieren einen Sound, der sich durch Elemente des Dark-Electro und EBM auszeichnet, gleichzeitig aber auch den Kern des Synthie- und Futurepops berührt, wodurch eine einzigartige Ambivalenz entsteht.
Nicht nur im Studio, sondern auch live wissen The Saint Paul zu überzeugen. Mit energetischen Auftritten auf Festivals wie dem Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT) oder dem Nocturnal Culture Night (NCN)-Festival hat sich die Band einen Namen gemacht. Ihre Rolle als Support für etablierte Acts wie Front 242, APOP und SITD sowie gemeinsame Auftritte mit The Invincible Spirit oder Intent:Outtake ermöglichten es ihnen, ein breites Publikum zu erreichen.

....consisting of core members Paul Kuhs, Marc Schleser and their live drummer Hendrik Strehl, have established themselves as a staple in the Synthpop genre since their formation in 2011. With an impressive discography that includes four albums and two EPs to date, the band from the Ruhr area has solidified their place in the music scene.
The musical connection between Marc and Paul, which had crossed paths even before 2011, proved to be fertile ground for the development of a fascinating sound. Their collaboration combines different musical focuses into a new, recognizable musical unit. The Saint Paul create a sound characterized by elements of Dark-Electro and EBM, while also touching the core of Synthie- and Futurepop, creating a unique ambivalence.
Not only in the studio but also live, The Saint Paul know how to impress. With energetic performances at festivals such as the Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT) or the Nocturnal Culture Night (NCN) Festival, the band has made a name for themselves. Welcome to the post-factual age! An ominous, sinister future lurks before us. On their seventh studio-album TRAUMA: RITUAL [:SITD:] reflect on the most critical issues of our times: fanaticism, irrationality and protectionism.
The incredibly danceable brand-new songs like GENESIS, COMPANION, CICATRIX and WALLS HAVE EYES amount gloomily, powerfully and morbidly to a menacing thunderstorm, while the lyrics keep digging heavily and deeply in the furtive, ruthlessly revealing the abyss of the human psyche.
TRAUMA: RITUAL is an almost sixty-minute long masterpiece, which ends with the epic tune ZENIT, which is definitely one of the album highlights. [:SITD:] tear down the walls, they open the doors to freedom, and finally they unite. At the end of it all, hope prevails.
Withal a big surprise is the collaboration between the band from the Ruhr-Area and guest singer DENNIS SCHOBER, the well-known vocalist from SOLITARY EXPERIMENTS, on the catchy club anthem PULS:SCHLAG (i.e. “pulsation” or “pulse:beat”. It’s the first duet with a companioned artist on an official [:SITD:] release ever!
