Musical instruments come in all shapes and sizes, but which is the saddest?
This is the first in a 3 part series, which started when I was listening to a piece I felt was 'the saddest concerto of all time. Part 1 here looks at which instruments are saddest, part 2 looks at the concerto and why it's not particularly well suited to sadness, and part 3 will introduce the piece that started this journey off - the saddest concerto of all time.
