I made this piece back in November for a final project for my entomology class. While I was forced to rush a lot and you can hear it in my voice and in the varying animation quality (the script was originally closer to 1:45), I am still really proud of the outcome. I actually don't know my grade on this lol courses ended before I checked
I really do love bumblebees and I have a special place in my heart now for these little guys. I want to see more of them please report them if you happen to spot one! They are easily confused for other bumblebees especially b. Mixtus and the belted bumblebees, and it doesn't help that a photo commonly cited as a male of the species is an atypical specimen.
For this piece I pulled my info from all the sources cited at the end. I hope that everything is correct, I may make mistakes (the number of states part especially I had to rerecord multiple times how do I get that wrong) so I will correct them here if I find them. This isn't meant to be an official video but feel free to share it with classrooms and organizations!!
I do ask that you not comment on my voice. I don't have a professional mic setup, and I really don't like the sound of my voice in general but I had to do what I had to do to make the video engaging lol. Even if it's a positive comment just pretend my voice is unremarkable and don't say anything thank u. The soft music is "Float" by Geographer.
