Professor E takes a look at what's inside the Roli Rover Box.
Roli is a rover robot that can navigate difficult terrain and surfaces. It's treads allow for smooth, consistent movement, over any terrain, and the arms give it a hand up if the treads are insufficient. It has a camera mounted on to a moveable neck, and a removable cup holder for storing drinks or other items. The rover uses the free EZ-Builder software, a powerful and versatile robot platform, that teaches programming and other coding aspects. The modular design allows students to build real-world robotic applications, without the limitations of traditional educational robot platforms. The EZ-Bit components of Roli include:
• Rover Body Top
• The EZ-B v4 Robot Controller
• The EZ-B v4 Camera
• Two 3-Servo-Motor Arms with Grippers
• Lever HDD Servo-motor
• Rotation HDD Servo-motor
• 2.5 Amp Motor Controller
Wire Wraps will be used to organize the cables of the robot. The kit also contains the battery charging components and the Getting Started Guide.
