The moment when someone repeatedly hype up the difficulty of the final boss throughout the entire playthrough, just ended up being one of the easiest final bosses in FE romhacks.

The chapter is a linear maze with the party split into two. Hitting the switch to open up the path towards Merovech for the opposite group. Basically it's rush towards him before the reinforcements catch up. Not sure why there are treasures in the final chapter too.

As for Merovech himself, he's real easy as long as one of your units meet the stat requirement. The fire dragon in FE7 is more of a challenge than him.

This is one of the few romhacks where there is an excellent usage of the world map. Not only the story is easy to follow, but the sprites help the players visualize in case there is too much text.

However, the story was kinda strange given how it was written. It's like Ava should be the true protagonist, and not Vance, when her storyline actually relates to Merovech. Now tell me, what does Vance's family issues for half the game had anything to do with him? Ava not having a boss convo with Merovech is weird either, given how she reacts right before this, but Vance does.

There are also unexplained moments for certain scenes, like why Buck/Torie asked Ava about Aier only after 3 days, or the captain sending Raizen's message to Valamar only when the battle is about to start. Aier switching from edgy to childish at random moments is also weird.

For the gameplay, for most parts it's fine, but the deployment count is a constant issue. Along with the mediocre growth rates, leveling up is extremely important, but most of the EXP always goes to the generics or the NPCs, leaving most of your units undertrained unless you rout every single chapter. This is also the only romhack where I experienced zero growth before capping a stat, thrice.

Also, some end chapter events with too many enemies can cause a game crash (e.g. chapter 6x & 10). An easy fix is just "quality over quantity", in other words reduce the enemy count but making them stronger.

For items, a prep chapter would fit nicely between the two consecutive interludes. A buff in effective weapons is also appreciated given how awful they are in general. The iron rune should appear earlier given how many low % crits that players have to gamble through, either that or reduce the crit rates. The training sword becomes useless way too fast.

There is not much point in using certain characters, like Jorin, especially with the lack of deployment slots. He is sword-locked, but I'm forced to use Vance and Ava, and sometimes Marris as she's useful in certain chapters. If I only wanted a mounted unit, I'd rather use one with a different weapon type. Not to mention one of them has higher overall growth rates AND a secret promotion. Some characters really need rebalancing.
