Ulrigar simply "observing" since 2 chapters ago is just weird when he's supposed to fight the enemy and show how Tiryns is the strongest.
The chapter is just like any other castle chapter in the vanilla titles. Advance, get the loot, stop the thieves from stealing them, fight the boss, and seize the throne. Not much unfairness in level design compared to the past chapters.
Not sure what I can do with Ulrigar, since he doesn't move. Maybe there's some secret conversation, who knows.

The ending cutscene though, the promotion is kinda off for me. I feel like it should occur when said character actually decided to step up, not just because another character said so.
