According to the 2025 Stack Overflow Developer Survey (survey.stackoverflow.co/2025/technology#1-databases), PostgreSQL is now the #1 most used and most loved database, chosen by over 61% of professional developers. In this session, we’ll explore what’s driving that momentum, from native JSON and time-series support to full-text search, vector embeddings, and more, all built on Postgres’ extensible core.
