Criticisms of so-called woke culture have become a battle cry for the right, and have gained voter support in recent elections. But what were its origins, is it now over, and what might replace it? Join Professor of Politics, Eric Kaufmann, as he argues that woke culture emerged from liberal taboos around race in the 1960s, and was extended to other areas, such as gender. Kaufmann offers an alternative framework around which, he argues, left-wing politics needs to centre, if it is to regain any foothold in future American and global elections.
