It is understandable that many people believe the Rio Grande Plan is just another subsidy for downtown Salt Lake City - but it is NOT! The Rio Grande Plan is proof, via investment, that the entire state of Utah matters for the state economy. By better connecting the capital to the rest of the state by trains, both passenger and freight, the Rio Grande Plan proves that Utahns can be united by Good Infrastructure.
