I knew Eregion would fall, I felt for how the show was written since episodes that Durin wouldn't come at the end, so clearly, watching this episode was hard. But I think that their way to make that big battle, to present it on screen, was going with that. We don't have the big choreography of the movies : for example, that new team coming for help like for Helm's Deep, the entry is less epic and more realistic. The fight lasts for all of the episode and we see Elrond&co suffering as hell. Before the episode, I had expectations, and I was clearly satisfied by what we had : I saw the pain, I felt emotions, everything worked on me.
All of Celebrimbor's moments were insanely great, with him discovering he's surrounded by illusions, finally saying who is truly Annatar, and for sure the discussion with Galadriel. That one is SOOOOO important for her evolution : "strength doesn't count in front of evil" and "fighting for/with the light" are clearly the main things about her wize futureself. Celebrimbor is played so well, such in an intense and profound way, that in front of him, I would have loved a more charismatic Sauron, even more after his true identity is revealed. Arondir killed (?), it's not a surprise : his character is only a helper since episodes, the writers didn't know what to do with him.
