Finishing this episode, I have the impression that the rhythm of the season is gonna go faster than I thought. I was already surprised to finish the first one with the Elves wearing their Rings, but now they're already talking about making some for men and dwarves, and Durin received his invitation for that ? If we're continuing like that, at the end of the season, everyone is gonna have their rings. I think now that the writers don't know each time if they're gonna have one more season, so they close each season like it can stop here and they are really writing chapters of the story of the Rings.
We had news about Disa and Durin, and it's not a surprise to have him who doesn't want to face his father, and vice versa. They are too proud for that. But for Durin to work in the mines, to not be able to provide stuff for his family, to not be considered as a prince and even be humiliated by others, it's a lot. The situation in the city is also really bad, his people are suffering. So I wouldn't be shocked and mad if at the end, he'll choose to take the Ring. And in front of Sauron who can manipulate people so easily and even use the biblical appearance scene to push you to believe him, does he have a true chance ?
