You wanted to copy the setting of one clip to another

but when you used the usual command+C/command+V

Resolve decided to paste the entire clip there!

to do this right, you simply need to still copy the clip with command+C

but then, here comes the trick, paste it with option+V

this will only paste the attributes for you

the best part is that you can even only select the ones you want!
