Sunrise over Uffington White Horse and castle, followed by a 10 mile return walk along The Ridgeway in negative temperatures to the Letcombe Bassett "Devil's Punchbowl" and back. I filmed the outward walk but not the return. The purpose of this walk was to get aerial photographs, and I apologise for the er, state of my nose (I should have checked!).
I then went on to look at Rams Hill hillfort- now buried by agriculture, but CAN we see if from above in low sun - can we really? Let's see in this video.
On the return trip I saw a kestrel knock a buzzard out of the sky, and there were plenty of Fieldfares in the hawthorn bushes along the way.
